CoderDojo for girls @ Bankwest is coming up in less than a month!


Bankwest have been running the event annually for the past two years and are pretty excited to be running this again in 2017.

Please find below details of the event that will be hosted at Bankwest Place:

  1. Date & Time: Monday, 2nd of October from 10:00am – 3:00pm. Doors open at 9:45am


  1. Location: Level 1 Bankwest Place, 300 Murray Street, Perth WA 6000. Bankwest Place is located on top of Raine Square shopping centre in the Perth CBD. Please see the map below.


  1. Registration link: Please register using the code: GirlsCanCode17!  at http://girlsdojo.herokuapp.com/


  1. Summary of the event: Ninjas will get to choose from a number of different stations where they can build and program robots, create websites or animate scenes and create games. At the end of the event we will be holding a showcase. Activities include: Scratch; Edison Robots; LEGO Mindstorm Robots; Website Development.

  1. Upon Arrival: Please enter Bankwest Place via the Main Entrance on Murray Street, marked with a red box on the map below. A Bankwest CoderDojo mentor will also be there to assist at the concierge. There will be a registration table at the entrance to the room where the event will be held. Please advise parents to be on time as we will start the event promptly at 10:00am


  1. Other details: The event will include morning tea and afternoon snacks but please be advised that all ninjas and parents or guardians who may be accompanying them are expected to bring their own lunch. There is a small cafe located next to the room where the event is held where you can purchase food if needed. If ninjas are under the age of 12, an adult must attend the event with them and they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
